THE TEAM

The collaboration between James Caverly and Andrew Morrill grew out of the 2018 HowlRound Deaf Theatre Action Planning Session, where Deaf artists gathered to address
the absence of Deaf narratives in American theatre. From that convening, we committed ourselves to creating works that center Deaf voices and aesthetics. When we began collaborating—over pints of beer and talk-shit—we knew the Herculean task ahead of us: determining what story we wanted to tell and how to tell it.
